Amanda discovered her passion for human movement at a very young age through the art of dance and a devoted personal yoga and meditation practice. She had the opportunity to dance professionally as she pursued her studies in kinesiology. Upon completing her formal studies she chose to complete her first 500 hr yoga teacher training to complement her Personal Training career. She continued to follow her passion of therapeutic movement and mindfulness through teaching yoga and meditation. As a life long student she knew it was only a matter of time before she was pursuing studies again. This took her to Massage Therapy school and eventually brought her to Nelson, BC to study Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.

Her formal study of Traditional Chinese Medicine began in Nelson, BC at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences where she completed over 2500 hours of academic classes and a practicum in a busy student clinic. After graduating with honours she went on to successfully pass the Pan-Canadian Board Exams and become registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners of BC. Her approach weaves together the intelligence of human kinetics, the wisdom of yogic traditions and the art of Traditional Chinese Medicine to optimize her patient’s innate capacity to heal. With kindness and compassion she will be dedicated to her future patients, to hearing their story, and to working alongside them and their health care team to optimize quality of life.
